Consultancy
We work with individual schools and trusts to create bespoke solutions to their pupil admission issues. This work usually takes the form of day-long analysis and up-skilling sessions that set out the fundamentals of marketing and apply them to an individual school or trust’s problems. We challenge current approaches to marketing within schools and trusts, and equip key staff to use websites, social media, AI, customer care and traditional media to tackle falling rolls.
Participants will be encouraged to think differently about the way they communicate and engage. They will leave with a bespoke solution to their school or trust’s problems and the tools to ensure that, going forward, their classrooms and staff rooms are as full as possible every September.
Training Courses
We run training courses that give individuals the tools and insights to raise pupil numbers. Areas covered in the courses include:
- The fundamentals of marketing
- Resource-appropriate approaches for state schools
- Changing the way schools think about websites
- Understanding the opportunities and limitations of social media
- The extent of the crisis (the birth rate time bomb)
- The potential of AI
- The role of traditional media
- Identifying audiences and creating messages
- The customer care funnel
The courses are appropriate for anyone responsible for marketing in state schools – both in primary and secondary settings.
These courses are either online or in person. Online courses are available to book via Eventbrite. In-person courses are usually delivered through teaching school hubs or for larger MATs.
If you are from a teaching school hub or a larger MAT and would like us to deliver a course on your behalf, then please contact us.
Support
High-level communications and marketing expertise is vital if individual schools and smaller trusts are to achieve strategic goals relating to admissions. But individual schools and smaller trusts rarely have enough strategic work to justify a full-time role for the professional with the skills and knowledge required to plot the right path. This can lead to a situation where comms and marketing end up on the desk of someone who is not a specialist, or it falls to someone who is a specialist but is early in their career. These people are usually very capable, but they might not have the strategic expertise to create solutions to the big problems that schools and trusts face.
There is a better approach.
We provide flexible strategic support around the problems of falling pupil numbers. We create the solutions and set out how they should be delivered. Schools and trusts then do they delivery. This support can be regular and contracted (for example, one day a week or one day a month) or it can be on an ad-hoc basis.
Videography & Photography
High-quality videos and photos give families an impactful and authentic sense of a school’s culture, values and everyday life. They showcase real pupils, real learning and real opportunities far more powerfully than text alone. Strong visuals build trust, reduce uncertainty and help parents picture their child thriving in that environment.
For schools competing for admissions, this emotional connection is crucial: compelling imagery highlights strengths, dispels misconceptions and differentiates the school in a market in which supply exceeds demand. Take a look at some examples of our latest videos and photos below.
